“Enrichment beyond
the classroom”
School Notices
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you all for such a warm welcome and thank you to our wonderful PAC for
organizing coffee and setting up a welcome info center. We have had quite an influx
of new students which is cause for us to establish a new division. We have been
very busy reconfiguring classes and we have done our very best to make sure every
student is placed in a class that best suits them academically, socially and
emotionally.
0n Friday afternoon our students will be grouped in multi-age teams to .join in on
our first ever Spirit Day. 0ur clever and talented grade 7's will be helping Facilitate
many ofthe co-operate group team activities- Because these brave 7's have also
volunteered to "take one for the team" they need to have a change ofclothes and a
towel, especially for the Feed the Beast contest and Soak the Seven activity.
We are planning on moving students into their new classes Friday morning so they
can get aquainted with their new class and be ready to go on Monday morning.
As mentioned, a lot time has been put into considering the best placement for each
student.
lt would be most appreciated if parents did not hang around the hallways while we
are moving into our new classes Friday. We would like to do it as comfortably and
respectfully as possible. Our teachers are very excited to get their new classes and
really need the space to establish a sense of safety and belonging with their new
crews.
We also ask that you give the new classes a chance, at least week before you request
a meeting with me or consider a change.
Your support in this mqnner would be most appreciated.
Barry Krangle, Principal
